How Opencode Works
1
Claim Issue
It doesn't matter whether you know how to solve it.
Don't look
out for issues you know how to solve, but rather to the once you don't know
how
to solve! This will be your opening door to learning something new.
2
Solve Issue
After claiming the issue, now it's the time to explore
ways on
how to proceed.
Mentors and Google will be to your rescue here. Take advantage of both to
the
most.
3
Open a PR
After reading everything on internet ever written and
those to be written in
future, it's the time to open your pr.
This will be the golden moment, where you will discover another 100 ways git
could make you cry!
4
Leaderboard
After spending another sleepless night to see your pr
getting
merged it's the time to climb up the leaderboard and enjoy that shortliving
"I
love Programming" feeling!

A journey beyond the ocean world of opensource,
where we like a small
drop were ready to submerge in those thousands of

People used to take any issue that
comes their way, be it
something they even haven’t heard
about. I guess, that’s the beauty of OpenCode, it
helps us let go of our
fear of tackling
problems without thinking about whether we can solve
them or not.

Opencode played a very important role in
my college life, it
helped me connect with my seniors, and for the first
time I got my code
eviewed by people better than me. It taught me
concepts that I still use
after 2 years! The best part of opencode: It is for
everyone, no matter
what you like

The beauty of OpenCode is that it’s equally challenging for both new developers and seasoned developers. Through OpenCode I got to work outside of my comfort zone and learn technologies I perhaps would never have touched. It was a crazy learning experience and a very good starting point for anyone trying to get into development or open source.

I am grateful to Opencode for kickstarting my journey in tech and all things Development. Over the course of the Hackathon, I went from knowing very little about different technical domains to having contributed in nearly every diverse repository in the event. Opencode is not only challenging for those familiar with dev, but also an immense learning opportunity for anyone with just the right amount of zeal and persistence.
